General project terms

1. Scope of services

Specific project requirements, deliverables, fees, estimated hours, timelines, and other terms may be established in a proposal, estimate, Statement of Work, Project Services Agreement, email confirmation, payment, or other written communication between Stratagem.World and the Client..

Where a project-specific written agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the project-specific agreement will control for that project.

Where no separate project-specific written agreement exists, these Terms, together with the applicable service description, estimate, proposal, written communications, and payment, will govern the Services provided.

Website descriptions of SERVICES are general descriptions and do not themselves guarantee a particular scope, deliverable, timeline, or business result unless expressly stated in writing.

Stratagem.World reserves the right to determine whether a requested project or service falls within its available capabilities, resources, and professional scope.

2. Estimates and work logs

Detailed estimates and work logs for billable hours will be provided by the assigned team members where applicable.

Not all hours dedicated to a project will necessarily be billable.

Estimates are based upon the information, requirements, assumptions, and scope reasonably available when the estimate is prepared.

If the Client's requirements, scope, assumptions, or requested deliverables materially change, Stratagem.World may provide a revised estimate or charge for additional work at the applicable agreed rate.

Where an estimate is based on an hourly allocation rather than a fixed project price, the estimate represents an expected amount of work and is not necessarily a guaranteed maximum unless expressly stated as such in writing.

3. Additional work and changes

Any additional work not specified in the applicable Project Services Agreement, estimate, Statement of Work, or other written agreement must be authorized by both original parties in writing.

Emails are considered writing for purposes of these Terms.

Any additional Services needed beyond what is specified in estimates submitted to the Client will be charged at the applicable rate stated in the estimate or Project Services Agreement, or, where no rate has been specified, at the then-current rate communicated by Stratagem.World.

The Client is responsible for making additional payments for changes that require excessive redesign, additional development, additional consultation, additional research, additional writing, or other work beyond the agreed scope.

A “Change” includes:

• Work requested by the Client beyond the agreed-upon scope, including but not limited to work beyond the time limit outlined by Stratagem.World.

• Changes to deliverables that have been previously reviewed and accepted by the Client.

• New features, functionality, content, integrations, research, or other services that were not included in the original estimate or Project Services Agreement.

• Material changes to information or requirements provided by the Client after work has commenced.

Where practical, Stratagem.World will inform the Client of substantial additional costs before performing the additional work.

Minor reasonable adjustments that remain within the agreed scope may be made without additional charge where Stratagem.World determines that they can reasonably be accommodated within the existing estimate.

Career development services

9. Resume revamp & cover letter services

Expectations of clients

• Client agrees to pay all fees associated with requested work and participate fully in the information-gathering process for creating or revamping resumes and cover letters.

• Additional or new information introduced after work has started may incur additional fees for consultation and writing services, where such information requires substantial additional work beyond the agreed scope.

• Client agrees to review all career documents for accuracy, including errors and missing or incomplete content, and respond by email with any changes or corrections (or approval to finalize) within seven days of receipt of the draft documents.

• Any projects that do not receive corrections or approval within seven days of submission may be considered finalized for purposes of the agreed project schedule, and further substantial changes may necessitate additional work or a new agreement with Stratagem.World.

• Client accepts responsibility for the outcome of any job search campaign and agrees not to hold Stratagem.World responsible for the lack of interviews or job offers, failure to obtain employment, or any other related outcomes that are outside Stratagem.World’s reasonable control.

Responsibilities of Stratagem.World

• Stratagem.World provides client files in Microsoft Word format and does not guarantee documents will retain all of their original, intended formatting and features on client equipment.

• Stratagem.World will not be responsible for missed deadlines if the Client is late in providing information or does not approve work in a timely manner at any stage of the process.

• Stratagem.World will work with Client in good faith to compose and design exceptional career marketing materials based on the data provided.

10. Job interview training workshops

Stratagem.World may provide job interview training, interview preparation, mock interviews, interview strategy, communication coaching, and related career-development workshops.

Expectations of clients

• Client agrees to participate actively and provide relevant information concerning their professional background, target position, industry, experience, and interview objectives where such information is reasonably required.

• Client is responsible for reviewing and applying the recommendations, strategies, and feedback provided during the training.

• Where training materials or exercises are provided, Client agrees to use them for their intended personal or professional-development purposes.

• Client acknowledges that interview performance depends on numerous factors, including preparation, experience, communication, interviewer preferences, competition, employer requirements, and circumstances outside Stratagem.World’s control.

Responsibilities of Stratagem.World

• Stratagem.World will work with Client in good faith to provide practical interview preparation, training, feedback, and strategies based on the information reasonably available.

• Stratagem.World does not guarantee that Client will receive an interview, job offer, promotion, compensation increase, admission, or other professional outcome as a result of participating in interview training.

• Stratagem.World does not guarantee the decisions of employers, recruiters, hiring managers, educational institutions, or other third parties.

11. Career counseling

Stratagem.World may provide career counseling and career-development services designed to assist Clients in evaluating professional goals, career options, job-search strategies, professional positioning, skills development, resumes, interviews, and related career decisions.

Expectations of clients

• Client agrees to provide reasonably accurate information concerning their professional background, goals, experience, education, skills, and circumstances where such information is relevant to the requested service.

• Client understands that career counseling is intended to provide guidance, perspective, strategy, and professional-development support.

• Client remains responsible for their own career decisions and actions.

Responsibilities of Stratagem.World

• Stratagem.World will provide career guidance and recommendations in good faith based on the information provided by the Client and the agreed scope of services.

• Stratagem.World does not guarantee employment, interviews, promotions, compensation, admission to educational programs, business opportunities, or any other particular outcome.

• Career counseling does not constitute legal, immigration, financial, medical, psychological, or other regulated professional advice unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement and provided by an appropriately qualified professional.

• The Client remains responsible for determining whether particular career recommendations are appropriate for their individual circumstances.

Business branding services

12. Website design, setup & maintenance

Stratagem.World may provide website design, website development, website setup, website configuration, hosting-related assistance, website maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, content updates, technical support, and related services.

Roles

Stratagem.World web development team will provide website design, development, programming, setup, configuration, maintenance, and other consulting services as outlined in the applicable estimate or Project Services Agreement.

Content creation, copywriting, branding strategy, marketing, SEO, and other related services may be included where expressly identified in the applicable scope.

Website setup

Website setup may include, depending upon the applicable agreement:

• initial website configuration;

• installation or configuration of a content-management system;

• domain or hosting configuration assistance;

• basic website structure and navigation;

• installation or configuration of agreed plugins, integrations, or software;

• initial content placement; and

• other setup activities expressly identified in the applicable scope.

Website setup does not automatically include the cost of third-party hosting, domains, premium software, plugins, subscriptions, licenses, advertising, or other third-party services unless expressly stated otherwise.

Website maintenance

Website maintenance may include, depending upon the applicable agreement:

• software, plugin, or platform updates;

• content updates;

• minor design adjustments;

• routine troubleshooting;

• security-related maintenance;

• backups where expressly included;

• technical monitoring where expressly included; and

• other routine maintenance activities specified in the applicable maintenance agreement.

Website maintenance does not automatically include substantial redesigns, new functionality, new pages, custom development, major migrations, extensive content creation, or other work that materially exceeds routine maintenance.

Such work may be treated as additional project work and charged at the applicable rate.

Where Client subscribes to a recurring maintenance or support program, the services, included hours, response expectations, exclusions, and fees will be governed by the applicable maintenance agreement or Project Services Agreement.

Support

We allow 45 days after the website is launched for any undiscovered bugs attributable to the work performed by Stratagem.World to be uncovered and fixed without charge.

This 45-day period applies to qualifying defects in the delivered website or application and does not include new features, additional functionality, design changes, content revisions, changes requested by the Client, changes made by another developer, or problems caused by hosting providers, domains, DNS, plugins, APIs, third-party platforms, software updates, or other circumstances outside Stratagem.World’s reasonable control.

Design and development

Design and Development estimates are provided on a per-project basis. The given cost estimate provides for minor design or development changes within the agreed-upon scope.

Stratagem.World and its consultants/providers of services retain ownership of their pre-existing materials, methodologies, processes, templates, reusable code, tools, know-how, and other materials developed independently of the Client project.

Ownership of final Client-specific deliverables is subject to the applicable agreement terms and the payment provisions described below.

Delivery

Delivery dates are predicated on the timely receipt of all materials to be supplied by the Client.

Every attempt shall be made to meet the delivery date, but unforeseen or unavoidable delays not caused by Stratagem.World shall not constitute a breach of the project agreement.

Delays resulting from late Client materials, approvals, third-party providers, hosting services, software platforms, or other circumstances outside Stratagem.World’s reasonable control may require a corresponding adjustment to the delivery date.

13. Custom software development services

Stratagem.World may provide custom software development and related technology services through CustomSoftwareProject.com, a division of Stratagem.World.

Custom software development projects require a comprehensive Statement of Work and project-specific agreement with the CustomSoftwareProject.com team before substantive development begins. The applicable agreement will establish the project scope, deliverables, fees, timelines, responsibilities, intellectual property, testing, support, and other project-specific terms.

Where a project-specific agreement conflicts with these general Terms & Conditions, the project-specific agreement will control for that project.

14. Content creation & copywriting

Stratagem.World may provide website copywriting, marketing copy, business content, social media content, professional writing, editing, content strategy, and other written materials as agreed with the Client.

Expectations of clients

• Client agrees to provide accurate and complete information reasonably necessary to create the requested content.

• Client is responsible for reviewing factual information, names, dates, claims, statistics, legal statements, product descriptions, and other information incorporated into the final content.

• Client agrees to review drafts within the applicable review period and provide corrections, revisions, or approval in a timely manner.

• Substantial changes to the agreed content, purpose, audience, tone, structure, or scope may constitute additional work.

Responsibilities of Stratagem.World

• Stratagem.World will use reasonable professional judgment in creating content based on the agreed objectives and information supplied by the Client.

• Unless expressly included in the applicable scope, content creation does not include legal review, regulatory approval, trademark clearance, factual investigation of every Client-provided claim, or specialized professional review.

• Stratagem.World does not guarantee that published content will result in specific levels of traffic, engagement, leads, sales, rankings, employment, or other business outcomes.

15. Branding strategy & brand protection services

Stratagem.World may provide branding strategy, brand positioning, messaging, visual-brand guidance, brand consistency, brand-development strategy, brand-protection strategy, monitoring recommendations, and related business branding services.

Branding strategy

Stratagem.World will work with the Client in good faith to develop branding strategies based on the Client’s objectives, target audience, industry, positioning, and other information reasonably available.

Branding strategy may include recommendations regarding:

• brand positioning;

• messaging;

• target audiences;

• brand identity;

• market differentiation;

• communications;

• brand consistency;

• content strategy; and

• other branding considerations included in the applicable scope.

Stratagem.World does not guarantee that a branding strategy will result in specific levels of sales, recognition, market share, engagement, customer acquisition, or other business outcomes.

Brand protection

Where expressly included in the applicable scope, Brand Protection Services may include strategic recommendations intended to help the Client protect, monitor, strengthen, or maintain the consistency and integrity of its brand.

These services may include, depending upon the applicable agreement:

• brand-use guidelines;

• brand consistency recommendations;

• identification of potential brand risks;

• monitoring strategies;

• recommendations concerning unauthorized or inconsistent use of branding;

• online brand-presence review;

• reputation and positioning recommendations; and

• recommendations for when the Client should seek specialized legal assistance.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise and provided by an appropriately qualified professional, Brand Protection Services do not constitute legal advice, trademark registration, trademark prosecution, legal representation, intellectual-property enforcement, or a legal determination of infringement.

Stratagem.World does not guarantee that a Client’s trademarks, names, logos, content, intellectual property, reputation, or other brand assets will be protected against infringement, unauthorized use, imitation, misuse, criticism, or other third-party activity.

Where a potential trademark, copyright, intellectual-property, defamation, infringement, or other legal issue is identified, Stratagem.World may recommend that the Client seek advice from an appropriately qualified attorney or other legal professional.

16. Industry research

Expectations of clients

• Clients must specify the industry, scope, and key research questions they wish to explore.

• Clients acknowledge that industry trends and insights may change over time and that research findings are based on available data at the time of the study.

Responsibilities of Stratagem.World

• Stratagem.World will provide research based on reasonably credible sources and industry standards appropriate to the agreed scope.

• Stratagem.World does not guarantee the accuracy or longevity of research findings due to market dynamics, changes in available information, source limitations, or other factors outside Stratagem.World’s reasonable control.

• Research and consulting materials are provided for informational and strategic purposes and do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, investment, medical, or other regulated professional advice unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

Workshops

17. General workshop terms

Workshops may include Job Interview Training Workshops, professional-development workshops, career-development workshops, business workshops, branding workshops, or other educational sessions offered by Stratagem.World.

Expectations of clients

• The Client agrees to pay all fees associated with Workshops and clearly specify on which date they would like to reserve their participation for a Workshop, in accordance with a preset event calendar from Stratagem.World that shows when Workshops are intended to be conducted.

• Pending session availability, Client is able to change the date of or cancel their Workshop reservation up to one week (7 days) in advance of the original booking date. Changes to reservations made after this period are non-refundable.

• Client agrees to ensure their attendance to and participation in Workshops within the given time frame provided by Stratagem.World.

• Client understands that workshop participation is educational and does not guarantee a particular employment, career, business, academic, or financial outcome.

Responsibilities of Stratagem.World

• Stratagem.World takes Workshop slot bookings on a first come first serve basis, and does not guarantee that Clients will be able to reserve Workshop slots on their preferred time or date.

• Stratagem.World reserves the right to cancel or postpone Workshops in case of unforeseen circumstances, and pledges to communicate any such change to Clients with reservations as soon as possible.

• In the event of Workshop cancellation or postponement by Stratagem.World, Clients are entitled to a full refund of any money paid to Stratagem.World for the affected Workshop, unless the Client elects to reschedule.

• Stratagem.World will not be responsible for missed attendance during Workshops, and will not refund any payments made to it if 7 or fewer days are left prior to the Workshop’s commencement, except where the Workshop is cancelled or postponed by Stratagem.World.

• Stratagem.World will work with Client in good faith to provide satisfactory and fulfilling Workshops.

• Client accepts responsibility for the outcome of any job search, school application, employment, career, or business campaign and agrees not to hold Stratagem.World responsible for the lack of admissions to schools, job offers, failure to obtain employment, or any other related outcomes outside Stratagem.World’s reasonable control.

Network support services

18. Expectations of clients

Stratagem.World can use remote access tools to view a specific troubleshooting instance. Accessing the Client’s systems by Stratagem.World will happen only upon Client’s request or with Client authorization. If remote access is not an available option, it may take significantly longer to identify and resolve the outstanding incident.

Stratagem.World will not take control of the remote access session but will instead guide the Client through executing commands, gathering data, making configuration changes, or any other actions as may be necessary, unless otherwise expressly authorized by the Client.

Stratagem.World recommends that the Client create backup copies of configuration files before any work is performed. Any recommended changes must be validated by the Client and, where possible, will first be made on a standby unit.

Stratagem.World will make use of security shred bins for all sensitive Customer information that may be written on paper.

Stratagem.World does not share Customer information except where authorized by the Customer or required or permitted by law.

The Client remains responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and for the security of Client credentials and systems.

Stratagem.World is not responsible for data loss caused by pre-existing conditions, inadequate Client backups, third-party systems, unauthorized access by parties other than Stratagem.World, or changes made by the Client or another provider.

19. Cybersecurity

Stratagem.World will use reasonable measures appropriate to the services being performed to protect Client information and systems under Stratagem.World’s control.

However, no internet-connected system, electronic transmission, software application, hosting environment, or network can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The Client remains responsible for maintaining secure passwords, access controls, authentication methods, backups, software licenses, and other security practices for systems under Client control.

Where a security incident or vulnerability arises from a third-party platform, Client system, hosting provider, software provider, compromised Client credentials, or other circumstance outside Stratagem.World’s reasonable control, Stratagem.World will not be responsible for the underlying third-party failure.

Web development standards

20. Browser and technology standards

All services described herein are to be performed by Stratagem.World under the most commonly accepted standards and practices of the Web Services Industry.

Stratagem.World will use commonly accepted website design technologies to serve the broadest market possible.

Stratagem.World will make reasonable efforts to ensure that web pages created through its services function across current, commonly used web browsers and devices. However, Stratagem.World does not guarantee identical appearance or behavior across every browser, operating system, device, third-party service, or future software version.

Entire agreement and order of precedence

21. Entire agreement and order of precedence

Where a Client purchases or authorizes Services without entering into a separate written agreement, these Terms, together with the applicable service description, estimate, proposal, written communications, and payment, constitute the agreement between the Client and Stratagem.World concerning those Services.

Where a separate Project Services Agreement exists, the applicable Project Services Agreement, together with these Terms and any incorporated estimate, proposal, Statement of Work, or written amendment, constitutes the agreement between the parties concerning the applicable Services.

Where the documents conflict, the following order of precedence will generally apply:

1. A subsequently signed or expressly accepted project-specific agreement;

2. A Statement of Work or written amendment;

3. An applicable estimate or proposal;

4. These general Stratagem.World Services Terms & Conditions; and

5. General service descriptions appearing on the Stratagem.World website.

Project-specific written agreements will supersede conflicting general terms on this website for the applicable project.

For custom software development, the comprehensive Statement of Work and project-specific agreement with the CustomSoftwareProject.com team will control with respect to that project.
